Power Search and Replace looks through multiple files for a string or block of text with any pattern and replace it with another string (or block of text). It can search all subdirectories and a filter may be used. Whether you are a HTML developer, application developer, business analyst or novice computer user, Power Search & Replace is a must have to replace, or just to find text. The core advantage it has over its rivals products is its ability to search and replace any chunk of text based data.
The program is written is Java, thus, it works on any platform. For a limited time, we are offering the program for free as an initial promotion. In the future, licenses will be offered for $199 USD/year.

Installation: There is no need to install the tool. All it require is the JRE plugin from SUN.
Run the tool using JRE in Windows XP or Vista:
1) Please click this link to download and install JRE plugin for your web browser.
2) Once JRE is installed, you may download the findreplace.zip file from here.
3) Unzip the file findreplace.zip into any directory on your hard drive.
3) Double click on the find.bat file provided and you will see the a GUI window look like this.
4) Done.
Alternativly, if you are running Liux or if the JRE fail to install, you may run the tool using the full Java SE:
1) Please download and install Java SE 1.5 or above from http://java.sun.com.
2) After you install Java SE, you may execute the program using the command [JAVAPATH]/bin/java -Xms256m -Xmx512m -jar findreplace.jar
3) A GUI window looks like this will come up.
Uninstallation:
Since the Power Search & Replace Tool does need to be installed to run. Uninstalling is not needed. Simply delete the file findreplace.jar from your harddrive.
